POST-WRAP INFORMATION

VINYL WRAP

Thank you for choosing us to customize your vehicle! For the first week of your new wrap, a little extra sun is good for curing the adhesive. Please don't wash your vehicle for 7 days. Wipe downs with quick detailer are fine during the first week.

After the first 7 days, it is critical that you wash the vehicle regularly, at least once every other week. Vinyl wraps (especially light satin colors) will stain if they are not kept clean.

While we use heat lamps in the shop, we can't replicate the sun so it's not impossible to see pullback/lifting/bubbling. This does not indicate a worrying issue and can be addressed with a touch up appointment.

It's very important to understand that if there is any pullback or lifting, it does not mean the wrap is going to come off. This YouTube video shows how much force is required to remove vinyl. The lifting is going to be localized to small area(s) and is caused by the vinyl trying to go back to its original shape. This is more or less likely to happen based on the complexity of the shape of the panel and the type/finish of the material. The material is going to do its shrinking in the beginning, so seeing this doesn't mean that it will continue to worsen indefinitely. We know exactly how to address it with a touch up appointment.

The vinyl is installed with a squeegee and light workmarks may be visible at first. These will fade in the sun.

Depending on the type of material and finish used, glue lines may be visible in areas where the material has to be stretched and contoured. The adhesive will even out over about 30 days and these will fade.

It is critical to avoid drive through car washes with brushes that touch the vehicle. These will damage the wrap and void the warranty. Car washes that spray jets and do not touch the car are acceptable, but a hand car wash is always best.

We recommend WrapFresh car wash solution made specifically for wraps (CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE). If you have a satin or matte wrap, never use clay bar, wax paste, or a mechanical polisher on your vehicle. If you have a gloss wrap, you may use a light cutting compound on low speed if you desire. Never apply cleaning/spray products to a panel that is hot, such as a hood after the engine was recently running or dark vinyl that has been sitting in the sun. You'll want the vehicle to be ambient temperature when applying any products to the surface.

If you received a ceramic coating, you can think of that as a permanent wax and your vehicle does not need additional wax. Ceramic coating does not mean the vehicle never has to be washed. It's going to protect from UV rays, make washing easier, and make less debris stick overall, but if the vehicle is not washed for prolonged periods, the wrap can still be stained. Ceramic coating is not magic and there is no guarantee that it will protect the car from every possible substance.

In order to keep your warranty in tact, it is critical to care for the wrap by following the instructions above. Additionally, do not use excess tire dressing that can splatter on the wrap. It is a solvent and will damage the wrap.

If you had your wheels liquid wrapped, DO NOT clean them by rubbing them with a brush. Only clean them by hand with a mitt just as you would wash the rest of the car.

If you take the vehicle to a car wash establishment, be sure to tell them the wheels and vehicle are wrapped and need to be treated carefully. We are not responsible for damage that is caused by another party touching the vehicle.

WINDOW TINT

Window tint is installed with soapy water, so there will likely be water bubbles in the tint at first. This is completely normal and part of the process.

Leaving the vehicle out in the sun will evaporate the water and cure the tint between a few days and two weeks depending on how much sun the vehicle is getting.

As the vehicle is indoors in our shop, the curing process doesn't begin until you pick up the vehicle and bring it out in the sun. Please DO NOT roll your windows down for the first 3 days.

WARRANTY

We stand by our work and aim to treat vehicles as we would our own. If an issue appears in the work that was not present when the vehicle was delivered, or a human mistake slipped through uncaught we will address it as soon as possible. Please just text us at 951-498-4622.

In order to be covered by the warranty two conditions must be met. The wrap must be maintained and washed regularly and you must notify us of issues within 14 days of it arising. Waiting weeks or months could mean dirt saturates the panel worsening the problem and making it unlikely that we are able to fully fix it.

CLEANING TIPS

What should I use for spot cleaning?
Spot cleaning is super important and should be done as soon as you see a concerned area, like bird dropping, tree sap, dirt rust water, tar. It's a good idea to keep cleaning supplies in your vehicle, keep your spot cleaning supplies and a spray bottle with some soap and water in the car.

Avoid wiping the wrap when it’s hot; this can distort the material and cause wrinkling.

First use the most mild method of cleaning then go stronger if needed. Soak area with soapy water, soak your micro fiber cloth, and gently wipe area. If it doesn't come off graduate to isopropyl alcohol, then simple green, then a citrus all purpose cleaner. Always make sure to rinse and neutralize with water in the end.

How Do I Clean Bird Droppings, Insects, Tree Sap or Other Difficult Stains?
Clean bird droppings and difficult stains immediately. Letting them sit for too long will make them harder to remove and may permanently damage the wrap.  Soak the affected area for a few minutes with warm, soapy water to loosen the contaminants. Rinse completely and dry with a micro fiber cloth.

For stubborn contaminants you can try the products above or use denatured alcohol, 3M® Citrus Base Cleaner, Meguiar’s Gold Class™ Bug and Stain Remover or two parts isopropyl alcohol to one part water. Always test these solutions on a small area that’s not easily noticeable to ensure the cleaner will not harm the wrap.  Do not use solvents, thinners or oil based cleaning products!

What Should I Do about Gas or Fuel Spills?
Wipe off fuel spills immediately, then hand wash the affected area. Letting the spill stay the wrap too long will degrade the vinyl.  A quick Soak with water & wipe with a wet paper towel at a gas station will clean the fuel affected area decently enough until you can get home to do a more through job.
